Nice start

This is pretty cool, especially if you were experimenting with style I really like what you have so far, and I think it's a great start. I realize this is a WIP, but I still want to note some things I noticed just in case. While you have some great melodies and such, I feel like you are leaning to much in the high frequency range. I heard some bass, but it isn't powerful enough. Also, the drums need more complexities, at this point they seem to simple. Especially at your climactic main part, they need to be CRAZY awesome drums if you know what I mean.

These are just some things I would look at as you work on this piece. Great job on the new style though, I think the intro is pretty tight.

Keep it up!

thank you. i will work more on this piece

Cool

I like the beat, and I think the guitar works really well in there. I also like the guitar that softly chimes in with solo parts. I think you ought to extend this into a full song, you could do it quite easily I'm sure. One thing I might add is a bass guitar, and keep that soft solo going! It needs to be longer... I could rock out to this for a while :). but yeah, I also had a problem with the ending. If you extended this into a full song I would suggest an ending where the beats go away and then slowly instruments drop out over time. That way the ending is calm and relaxed and then maybe a fade out... but yeah the current ending is bleh.

Besides that, GREAT job.
Please do work on this. I look forward to a complete version.

Theres a guitar that replaces the bass guitar, i did even put a "only bass" FX on it..
thanks a lot for that long review!!!!! i'll try to finish it and make a song of it.. if i should have time xD (or energy)

Great improvement!

I loved this one even before the revisions, however the drums really add to it. Excellent job! I still think adding a bass would be a good move, but if you say it wouldn't fit, I'll take your word for it. I'll go ahead and say I can't find anything else to criticize... congrats xD.

Again, great work. You should be proud :)

Excellent

This was really well done! Overall I love it. The drums are great, its an awesome beat, the reverb is a nice touch and good glitching. Also the bass is really solid, the piano is great, and overall you have awesome melodies.

The only thing that really bothered me was the intro, the piano part on its own sounded awkward. But once all the other parts come in, it sounds awesome. I would suggest revising the intro somehow.

Other than that, this song was INCREDIBLE.
Great work!

Thank you for the detailed review!

I revised the intro so that the piano isn't alone at the start.
thanx for pointing this out and helping me improve the track cause this will be on one of my albums I plan to release this year.

Needs work

Honestly I believe this is a good start. You have many neat ideas and overall this is a great concept. However, there are several things that could use improvement. For one thing... too much reverb on the synth pads at the beginning (at least in my opinion). Also, the drums are extremely distorted. While using distortion on drums can create a great effect, this distortion was simply too much. Also the drum part at the end was overly simple.

And this song needs more! It's only a minute long, and it has so much potential! If it built up more and was a bit longer, it could be a masterpiece!

Please realize I was not trying to bash or slander your music. I am only providing suggestions and opinions as I see them.

Again, good work... but go back and work on it more!

Good

This is a pretty decent techno song, but it is pretty generic. However there are several things you could do to improve it. First of all, the drums are lacking. Add more to the drums, the more complicated, the better (generally, but not too complicated :P). Also, your instruments sound like presets. Try getting external VSTs (I can tell you how to get them if you need to know). You could use presets, but if you do at least put effects on them like reverb and distortion.

Now for the actual song itself. You have a fairly decent progression, but like any good song, it needs to build up more as it goes along. This can be done by adding more to the drums, adding more instruments later on, adding more complicated melodies, and creating layers with instruments, melodies, countermelodies, percussion, etc. Another suggestion is having another movement, or another part. A different progression.

Overall this was well executed. It just needs a little more work.

:D Thankyou so much! I just started using this program so I really don't know what I'm doing and how to do certain things. I would LOVE to know where to get external VST's if you would be nice enough to help me with that! Once again thanks :D

Cool stuff

Again I am impressed. This song has excellent drums (of course)... and great bass. I have to agree that the random sounds at the beginning are a good intro. I see that for this song you also took two very different sounding parts and put them together, although to me it seems like these parts are more coherent and have better transitions than the other song. Another thing I really like about this song is the crazy pauses. These are GREAT! They add suspense and keep the listener on edge. Also, it seems with this song, just like the other, you have an amazing sense of beat and keep an excellent upbeat feeling throughout the song, yet there are many dark undertones given by the bassier instrumentation.

Going back to the randomish sounds, when they play AFTER the intro in my opinion they are too loud, almost overwhelmingly so. Also I had a problem with throughout the midsection of the song, there was a part that was really repetitive. While repetition is key to music, in my opinion this part was TOO repetitive. Also, the person below me mentioned mixing problems, I would agree that some of the lower frequencies are unbalanced, so look into that.

Overall, this is amazing. I would have to say that this was very well executed and must have taken a lot of time and patience. Keep up the great work.

Excellent piece!

Nice!

Yes! I love Sonic music!

Alright, now that I got that out of me... This is a very well done remix. It sounds a lot like the original (in a good way), but it sounds a lot cleaner (of course cause its not midi). Also I noticed you jazzed it up a bit, and made it more relaxing sounding. Cool stuff. I don't have any suggestions for improvement really.

Great mix.

Nice

This is pretty good, but I can't help but notice you used all presets of FL Studio.
In google, type in 'free VSTs'... first site should have hundreds of synths and plugins to choose from. When downloading these, save them in the folder in FL labeled VST plugin. These VSTs let you create virtually any sound you want! That should help.

Now, besides that you have a lot of good things going on here. I like the drums (besides them being presets) and you have some cool arpeggios going on as well. My only other suggestion is having some sort of transition between the two different parts.

Great job.

tyvm for the info on the effects it was exactly what i was looking for :)
and thanks for reviewing
oh and i made all the loops myself maybe there's a FL preset for the same but i never use them

again thanks for the site

'twas pretty epic sounding

I like it. A lot.
The only thing that really bothers me is the synths at the beginning, in my opinion they are too clean- they need more effects.

Other than that I really like this it is really REALLY catchy. The only other suggestion I have is maybe after the quiter part, have the main progression come in again before the song ends. I think that would perfect this piece.

Excellent work.
